On that check date, precisely. Thirty-six of these were re-read from Viator on 22 September 2026 and four of them had moved since the last check, which is the whole reason for doing it. The remaining eight still carry figures last confirmed on 7 September: the Whisky and Folklore tasting, the Mercat vaults tour, the two fixed-price Old Town walks, the self-guided Potter tour, the live-guide hop-on bus, the Stirling and Trossachs short day, and the three-day Skye tour. Treat those eight as a week or two older than the rest.
One thing worth saying before you scroll: not everything we recommend is here. The Real Mary King's Close and Johnnie Walker Princes Street are both covered in full on their own guides, they simply do not sell through Viator, so there is no card to show, only a direct link to the operator's own site. We link to them anyway on the pages that cover them, because leaving out the best answer to save ourselves a missing commission would make every other recommendation on this page less trustworthy.

Neighbourhood walks

Hills and viewpoints
Both of these climb Arthur's Seat, which is a free public hill in a free park that nobody needs a ticket or a guide for. They are here because the narrow case for paying is real: the park has a lot of fenced-off ground right now, including the Radical Road, and somebody who works it daily knows what is shut. Attractions and entry tickets
Two paid attractions that sell through Viator. Most of the city's big ones do not: Edinburgh Castle, the zoo and the Scott Monument all sell direct only, and we say so on the zoo page and the Scott Monument pagerather than send you to a reseller.

A theatrical attraction with actors and rides, and the lowest-rated thing on this page. It is not the underground vaults, however it is marketed, and if you want the real ones book a vaults tour above instead.

Read this before you book either of them: for almost everybody the right answer is the £6 Airlink 100 bus, which is cheaper and faster than the tram and runs all night.
